Buying guide / Mixed-model orders
Different models.
One reconciled shipment list.
A mixed-engine batch needs a clear link between the buying list, the offered units and the final packing list. Use this checklist before confirming loading.
Give every requirement its own line.
Use a separate row whenever code, suffix, application, accessory scope or required condition differs. Record requested quantities beside each row. Grouping all Toyota engines or all diesel engines into one line makes it harder to check what was offered and what should be loaded.
A reference catalogue helps start the conversation. The final order should identify the actual accepted units or an agreed identification method. Keep the reference request, supplier offer and confirmed order as separate records.
Reconcile supply before arranging the batch.
Ask the supplier which requested lines can be offered and what quantity is available for each. Mixed-model sourcing depends on current supply; selecting a model on this website does not reserve it. If an alternative code or configuration is proposed, review it explicitly rather than allowing a silent substitution.
Check actual-unit identity and available condition evidence. Record which accessories accompany each line, including any transmission or electrical requirements. Keep unconfirmed items visible until both sides have agreed how to handle them.
Define identification and packing evidence.
Discuss a labeling method that connects each unit with its buying-list row. Ask how readable identification will be recorded before packing, which packing materials are proposed and what photos can be provided. Specify any receiving-warehouse preferences that matter to your operation.
Confirm who prepares the packing list and the weight or dimension information required for freight planning. The number of models in a request does not establish how many engines fit a container. Use the actual units, packing arrangement and carrier requirements for that decision.
Review the loading list against the order.
- Match each accepted line to its code, configuration and quantity.
- Check that agreed accessories are accounted for with the correct units.
- Review the available identity, packing and loading photos.
- Record changes or unresolved items before dispatch.
- Confirm the documents and freight scope agreed for the shipment.
Bring the destination into the first inquiry.
Include receiving country, port and the buyer's intended application. Provide any specific evidence or documents requested by your customs broker. A supplier's ability to source an engine is separate from whether the proposed shipment can be imported at your destination.
Do not infer local warehousing, delivery time or import approval from this website's Americas focus. Agree the actual shipment route and commercial terms for the order you are reviewing.
Keep the next action clear.
Download the requirement template, add your codes and quantities, then prepare an inquiry. The website opens a WhatsApp or email draft; you review and send it in that application. A sent inquiry is a request for review, not an order confirmation.
For components and quotation boundaries, read engine-only versus complete assembly. For receiving details, use the Americas buyer's desk.
