1. Turn a model name into a buying specification
Start with the full engine code and suffix, donor or target vehicle information, fuel type, transmission and drivetrain. Attach nameplate and connection photos where available. Specify the accessories required: turbocharger, injection system, alternator, starter, harness or ECU. Model-family similarity does not establish interchangeability.
Use a separate buying-list row whenever fitment, accessory scope or condition differs. For example, “Toyota diesel engines” is too broad to price consistently; a specified code, quantity and component list gives both parties something they can check. Ask your technician to approve an alternative before it becomes part of the order.
2. Distinguish catalogue images from selected-unit evidence
Catalogue photos help identify a product family. Ask for current photos of the offered units, readable codes and a numbering method connecting them to your order. For remote review, request views of visible casing condition, connections and included components, together with an explanation of the checks performed.
At LSVANT, selected engines receive supervised video and numbered photo records. Our preparation includes cleaning and manual crankshaft rotation. This does not establish measured compression, bench-test results or proof of a running engine. Ask for any additional inspection you need and agree its availability and scope in writing before buying.
3. Put the acceptance and payment gates into the pro forma invoice
The written order should name the legal seller, goods, quantities, included components, price basis, payment schedule, inspection scope, packing responsibilities and warranty terms. Verify that the bank beneficiary matches the company identified in the pro forma invoice. Independently verify any requested bank-detail change through an established contact before sending funds.
LSVANT’s confirmed terms are 30% initially to start preparation and arrange booking, followed by 70% before dispatch after your review. Payments are made by bank transfer to the company account, not to a personal or third-party account. Photo-identified problem units are replaced before balance payment. Progress updates are provided at least every five days during preparation.
4. Budget the shipment, not just the engine price
| Order format | Planning mix |
|---|---|
| First order | From 10 engines |
| 20-ft engine shipment | 90 engines |
| 40-ft engine shipment | 130 engines |
| 20-ft mixed shipment | 45 engines + 45 used gearboxes |
| 40-ft mixed shipment | 65 engines + 65 used gearboxes |
These are planning configurations, not a universal physical capacity. Actual engine dimensions, packed weight, securing and carrier limits determine the accepted loading plan. Used gearboxes are supplied as-is. Grade A engine pricing starts from US$300 per unit FOB Guangzhou; the exact models and scope determine your written quotation. Freight, insurance and destination costs require separate confirmation.
For a first batch, use your sales records to prioritize proven demand and limit trial models. Avoid filling a container merely to minimize freight per unit if that leaves you with difficult-to-sell inventory. Track total landed cost and expected selling margin by model.
5. Release the shipment against one reconciled record
Check the accepted-unit list against the commercial invoice and packing list. Confirm package identifiers, quantities, weights, included accessories and bill-of-lading instructions. Give your destination agent the draft documents early enough to identify classification or conformity requirements before loading. Agree who receives the final photo file and shipping documents.
LSVANT has more than 20 years of industry experience, 15,000 engines in inventory and over 700 wholesale customers across more than 50 countries. Those advantages support sourcing breadth; they do not replace your order-specific checks. Product-specific warranty coverage and the claim procedure are confirmed in the written order.
